This year’s five-day celebration concluded with the 23rd Annual Community Service Awards Gala, where the community gathered to honor Don Smith, founder of the Missouri City Juneteenth Celebration Foundation. Through his leadership, these events have highlighted the invaluable contributions of African Americans and provided scholarship opportunities that support Fort Bend County students in achieving their educational goals.
